I recently bought a used 2007 Prius for use as a commuter, but was really disappointed in the stereo so decided to do some upgrades, which got a bit carried away. In the end, I ran the outputs from my 2007 Prius' amp into this unit, combining the upper and lower range outputs of the front channel into a single output from the LC6i, with the full signal of the rear channel passing through to the third channel output of the LC6i (the second channel is open in this configuration). From there, it runs through a Kenwood Kac-8405 amp to four Infinity Reference 6030cs speakers in the original factory locations and it sounds great while maintaining all the... The ground loop isolator built in knocked my engine whine from the level of OBNOXIOUS down to GONE. I mean, completely silent. No traces whatsoever. What a godsend. 2) Eliminated my muddy signal problem. This thing takes my shoddy OEM stereo signal, and makes it sound like an aftermarket stereo! I didn't want to buy an aftermarket stereo due to the functionality I would lose (steering wheel controls, bluetooth, etc.), but yearned for that same quality sound. This thing does the trick perfectly! I originally purchased a Scosche SLC-4 to convert my speaker-level input down to a low-level input, but it left my sound muddy during the conversion process. It sucked cutting all those wires to connect them to this box, but it was a necessary evil to hook up an amp. I did the basic adjustment (turn the radio up 3/4 and turn knobs until light comes on) and then covered it up. It does have more settings, but I never touched them. It did what it was supposed to do.
