i have two of these in a 1997 gmc 1500 ext. cab. facing forward. And i will say there could be more bass but for no more air space then is required these are amazing. They are so responsive and soo clean sounding i have to give 5s all day. I have a kicker amp pushing close to 900 watts rms to them and i have anoter kicker amp pushing close to 400 watts rms to my component speakers. Awesome setup. So loud and clean and the bass is nothing short.

I've had this for about 5 months now and it's STILL getting better (breaking in). I keep having to creep down my amp gain more and more over time as this thing loosens up. Hits hard and clean with a tight response even when I push it to play higher more mid-bass frequencies to try and make up for my lack of mid-bass from my door speakers (although I know it can never truly do that job well, it works for now). Anyway, if you're considering this sub, this sub kicks ass. Especially for the price. Just go for it. :)

Let it be known. I love deep bass. This will not give you TRUE deep bass. A little bit broader on the spectrum having a 12-inch has a bigger range of frequency. If you want a punchy hit, this sub is not for you. I went with the MM1240DVC for a couple of reasons.
1) It's lightweight. I have a coupe so trunk space comes scarce. 2) The DVC lets me split off to get more power from my amp.
The look of the sub is great too. Anyhow with its lightweight and decent power. Get it!
