Using this on my Cessna yoke as a back-up GPS. Has current terrain DB/warning which the plane GPS doesn't have.
I used it to replace a Garmin 295.

I also have a Samsung 10.1 tablet with 32GB storage and wifi and Droid3 phone (both from Verizon) loaded with aviation maps similar to an iPad.

Bought this item as an upgrade from our Garmin 196. Really wanted the weather feature.

LOVE IT! Great screen size and contrast; easy to use. Has helped us avoid storms and better plan our trips. Even have gotten last minute TFR information on it.

Highly recommend.

I have owned numerous Garmin GPS units and was excited to try an aviation version of their product.
Aviation:
The aviation part is okay. You can search for the closest airport but there is no direct to button.

Weather:
This is a nice feature, though not a cheap monthly payment. There is no way to change the speed of the animation (which is miserably slow). Also, it takes forever to get enough history in it to animate anything.

Auto:
I'm impressed with this part. Compared to the 350 and 255W, this one blows them away.

Overall, this is an okay unit.
