They thought it would be a great idea to have a small control circuit board attached in a modular way that can be quickly pulled out of the amp for replacement. The thing they forgot to do was test the amp. But, not! The amp work well, I purchased 1 month ago. Im feeding 4 subs Kicker CVR's (1600 rms @ 1 ohm), the amp has 2200 rms @ 1 ohm, so I set the gains at 3/4, My 2001 Mustang GT sound like 10 blocks away, and my neighbors hate me, hahaha... The amp in the picture is all black and even on the box I recieved but when I opened it up there was a huge skull and wings power acoustik logo on the amp. It is still the 4000/1 watt amp spec wise but appearance wise it is not all black like the photo and has a permanent skull and wings on it which I dont care for at all. Now instead of showing off my amp with an amp rack I feel more like hiding it and just showing the sub. On a good note though it has powered my 15" power acoustik mofo with ease and haven't had any performance problems with it at all. Oh, and it has 4 gauge inputs so if you have 0 gauge wire it wont fit. I had to use a wire reducer. |
